Carry Me Back to Ole Virginny
One of their favorite songs is Carry me Back to Old Virginny. In this song it talks about the cotton, the yellow corn, and the tatoes (meaning potatoes). The song was written by James Allen Bland and was adopted as the official state song on 1940.

Virginia Tech football team's name is the Hokies. The Virginia Tech Hokies are a college football team. Virginia Tech's preseason rank was sixteen and their record is seven wins and six loses. The name "Hokie" comes from a chant that
O.M. Stull, a student from Virginia Tech, made up.

Accent/Dialect
The Virginians speak with somewhat of a southern accent. The earliest settlers to Virginia were from Southern England and English West Country. A mix of these two accents gave the Virginians a distinctive dialect and vocabulary.
Museums
There are so many different types of museums in Virginia: historical, art, Civil War, and more. One of the very first museums built in the south part of America was built in Virginia, it's called the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. It was established on March 27, 1934 and entering admission is free, but, you may have to pay extra for special exhibits.
Clothing
The climate in Virginia is very similar to Wisconsin and the Midwest states. This means that they have cold winters and hot summers. In the winter they wear jeans, a sweatshirt, and a coat. In summer they could wear differing things varying between genders. Boys wear shorts, a t-shirt, and tennis shoes. Girls wear skirts/shorts, shirt, and flip-flops.
